8 Illustrations That Teach Us How to Deal With Different Personalities
In our workplaces, we’re surrounded by people who surprise us with the way they see things and often in the ways they react to things. What we may think is nothing seems confusingly large to them. The other way around too. And how often do we feel that the people around us just don’t understand? Just because your organization’s employee engagement level is high and you’re a grade-A leader doesn’t mean you know what issues others face daily. And it can be hard to explain our own.
Artist Toby Allen has come up with an almost funny way to defang what’s in others’ hearts and even in our own. Each of his designs below portrays a mental or emotional issue as the monster it can become to a person who has to grapple with it. (If a monster’s description is hard to read, click its image for a closer view.)
See if you recognize some of them in yourself and the people you know. You might also find one or another explains previously mystifying behavior in someone you don’t.
Maybe they can make us all more tolerant and just a little kinder in the workplace.
